Wonder Woman 2 confirmed to start filming this summer according to producer

February 27, 2018 by Samuel Brace

According to a producer for the DC Extended Universe, Wonder Woman 2 will commence shooting this summer.

With news of a surprise hit in the form of Black Panther being the current talk of the town, it’s easy to forget that it wasn’t so long ago that Wonder Woman was making similar waves on its way to impressive box office numbers.

The Gal Gadot led movie has become one of the most popular components of DC’s connected universe of films and, as such, the greenlighting of a sequel was an absolute no brainer.

Now, Charles Roven, who produced Wonder Woman along with all the other films in the DCEU, has provided eager fans with news of when Wonder Woman 2 will begin filming.

“We’re in what I would call development of the screenplay.” Roven explained to ComicBook.com. “We finally, I think, have a good story to tell. Not kind of – we do believe we have a good story to tell. And then we’re also just moving out of what normally we would call soft prep into hard prep. We’re hoping to start shooting the movie sometime this summer, and hope to have it out by the end of ’19.”

This is news that will surely delight fans who will be hoping that the future of the DCEU is as well received as Wonder Woman’s big screen debut back in 2017.
