Yesterday’s Himesh Patel joins Christopher Nolan’s Tenet

August 28, 2019 by Ricky Church

Christopher Nolan has just made a new addition to his upcoming action thriller Tenet. According to Variety, Yesterday‘s Himesh Patel has been cast in one of the last available roles in Nolan’s highly anticipated project.

As with almost everything else regarding Tenet, Patel’s role is being kept under wraps. Nolan wrote script himself and will produce alongside Emma Thomas and Thomas Hayslip. Production will take place across seven countries and reportedly has a budget of $225 million, the second most expensive film he’s made with the first being The Dark Knight Rises, with his usual mix of using 70mm and IMAX film to shoot.

Plot details for Tenet are being kept secret, but we do know that the film revolves around the world of international espionage and features a cast that includes John David Washington (BlacKkKlansman), Robert Pattinson (High Life), Elizabeth Debicki (Widows), Michael Caine (The Dark Knight Trilogy), Kenneth Branagh (Dunkirk), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Nocturnal Animals), Dimple Kapadia (Leela) and Clemence Poesy (In Bruges).

Tenet will be released on July 17th 2020.
