Zack Snyder is preparing for his own video game with Fortnite, mains a Ricky & Morty-themed skin

August 24, 2023 by EJ Moreno

Zack Snyder may be one of the busiest filmmakers working today, but he still finds time to unwind like the rest of us.

Earlier this year, Snyder stopped by The Nerd Queens podcast to discuss turning one of his upcoming films, Rebel Moon, into a game, and that seemingly sparked a new passion for the Justice League helmer.

Promoting his upcoming Netflix film Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire, Snyder tells IGN that he’s been gaming with his son. In preparation for his own video game based on Rebel Moon, the filmmaker took up Fortnite as his new gaming choice.

For those wondering, he plays as Mister Meeseeks from Ricky & Morty and is a fan of no build. Check out Snyder’s Fortnite clip below…

Rebel Moon‘s colossal ensemble cast includes Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnam, Djimon Hounsou, Anthony Hopkins, Doona Bae, Ray Fisher, Stuart Martin, Cary Elwes, Corey Stoll, Michiel Huisman, Alfonso Herrera, Ed Skrein, Cleopatra Coleman, Fra Fee, Rhian Rees, Jena Malone, E. Duffy, Charlotte Maggi, Sky Yang, and Staz Nair.

“When a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy finds itself threatened by the armies of a tyrannical ruling force, Kora (Sofia Boutella), a mysterious stranger living among the villagers, becomes their best hope for survival. Tasked with finding trained fighters who will unite with her in making an impossible stand against the Mother World, Kora assembles a small band of warriors — outsiders, insurgents, peasants, and orphans of war from different worlds who share a common need for redemption and revenge. As the shadow of an entire Realm bears down on the unlikeliest of moons, a battle over the fate of a galaxy is waged, and in the process, a new army of heroes is formed.”

Rebel Moon Part 1: A Child of Fire streams on Netflix from December 22, 2023, while Part 2: The Scargiver is released April 19, 2024.
