New details on Marvel’s Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.

As Marvel prepares to embark on Phase Two of its Cinematic Universe with the release of Iron Man 3, the studio’s animated arm is gearing up to launch its own new wave of programming with two shows – Avengers Assemble and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. – set to join Disney XD’s Marvel Universe programming block this year. With their premieres fast approaching, has launched sub-sites for both cartoons which offer up a host of details, including promotional artwork, character bios for all of the main players, and two updated synopses:

Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. – Hulk smash! The biggest, hardest-hitting hero in the Marvel Universe stomps into his own series as the star of Marvel’s Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H.! Joined by his larger-than-life teammates who double as an unlikely family, Hulk tackles threats that are too enormous for any other heroes to handle. In his battle against evil, Hulk is joined by the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. — sensational She-Hulk, the irascible Red Hulk, the exuberant A-Bomb and the savage Skaar. What does S.M.A.S.H. stand for? Marvel’s Avengers Assemble will premiere on May 26th with a one-hour preview before debuting in a regular Sunday slot from July 7th, while Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H. is set to get underway on August 11th.
