Gotham recasting Poison Ivy for season 3

June 16, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Originally published June 16, 2016. Updated April 15, 2018.

TV Line is reporting that Gotham is set to recast the role of Ivy Pepper for its third season, with actress Clare Foley set to depart the role as the producers transform the character into Poison Ivy.

According to the site, casting is now underway for an actress in her late teens, who will join the show as a series regular. It’s thought that the role fits the recent character description of “a young villainess who uses her sexuality to entrap men”.

In addition to a new Poison Ivy, it has previously been announced that Gotham is also casting Vicki Vale, as well as a series regular villain “who learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding.”

Gotham returns to Fox in the fall.
