Gotham casting Vicki Vale and two new villains for season 3

June 10, 2016 by Gary Collinson

Yesterday we brought you some news about the new additions to Supergirl for its second season, and now TV Line is reporting details on two newcomers for another DC show in Gotham season three.

According to the site, casting is underway for the character of Vicki Vale (played by Kim Basinger in 1989’s Batman), who is described as “an ambitious young journalist” and is in her late 20s. Given that David Mazouz’s Bruce Wayne is around 15 years old in the series, it’s probably safe to assume she isn’t going to be a love-interest for young Master Wayne.

In addition to Vicki Vale, the producers are also looking to cast a couple of series regular villains, including one “who learns people’s secrets and manipulates them to do his bidding (which sounds like the previously rumored arrival of The Mad Hatter) and a young villainess who uses her sexuality to entrap men (a la Joan Collins’ Siren on the 1960s Batman series?).”

Gotham is set to return to Fox for its third season in the fall.
