Rumour – Plot for Avengers: Infinity War revealed

September 21, 2016 by admin

Warning – there could be spoilers below…

We got our first look at Avengers: Infinity War via this very innocuous set photo of Josh Brolin, and the film should be entering principal photography in November. Little is known about the plot, but Latino-Review seem to have the inside scoop.

According to the outlet, Avengers: Infinity War won’t follow the comic book arc of the same name with Adam Warlock and Magnus, but will instead borrow its plot from the premise of Infinity Gauntlet. The site claims the plot will centre around Thanos trying to impress the personification of Death (as teased at the end of The Avengers) and will use the Infinity Stones to gain god-like powers and wipe out the universe. This will lead him to Earth, where he will try and collect as many souls as possible to please Death.

Latino-Review also tease that Death could be connected to Cate Blanchett’s character in Thor: Ragnarok, but won’t confirm. What they will confirm is that Death will feature, and she will be a woman.

Take this with a pinch of salt as always, but this probably isn’t too far off the mark. As we said earlier, the post-credits of The Avengers teased that Thanos was “courting Death”, and its likely that Marvel would look to borrow elements from the popular comic series.
