The Predator loses Benicio Del Toro

October 12, 2016 by admin

The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that Shane Black’s The Predator has lost one of its stars in Benicio Del Toro, but the studio are already looking to replace him.

Details of why Del Toro has left the project are unknown, but it appears that something broke down while negotiating contracts. Fox were keen on have Del Toro in the movie and even considered pushing the film’s release date back to allow for him to film Sicario 2.

20th Century Fox are looking to replace Del Toro with Boyd Holbrook, who is currently part of the studio’s X-Men movie Logan [an image of him was released yesterday]. THR are also saying that the studio are looking to fill the supporting roles with big names, which may back up the rumours of James Franco joining the cast.

The Predator is set for release on February 9th 2018.
