Rick Cosnett announces his return to The Flash

January 16, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Originally published January 16, 2017. Updated April 16, 2018.

It looks like Robbie Amell’s Ronnie Raymond isn’t the only season one character we’ll be welcoming back The Flash, with Rick Cosnett announcing on Twitter that he’ll be returning to the show.

https://twitter.com/RickCosnett/status/821029097744666624

Cosnett played Detective Eddie Thawne in the first season of The Flash, but died in the season finale as Eddie sacrificed himself in order to defeat his evil descendant Eobard Thawne.

As yet, there’s no word on how exactly he’ll return, but the Arrowverse has plenty of expertise in bringing characters back from the dead, and between time travel, alternate Earths and flashbacks, there’s certainly a number of options.
