Potential Suicide Squad spoilers reveal plot details of The Joker, Deadshot, Harley Quinn and more

January 19, 2015 by Luke Owen

Latino-Review have been on top of their scooping game as of late, bringing out some big guns of some of the upcoming big Hollywood movies. Today, they bring us some more “scoops” from the draft scripts of David Ayer’s Suicide Squad.

Warning – there could be potential spoilers below. You have been warned.

The website’s source claim that we are introduced to Harley Quinn as she is breaking The Joker out of Arkham at the same time Deadshot is trying to assassinate an inmate. This is how both of them are put into the Suicide Squad, which Boomerang is already a part of. As for The Joker? “Waller has Joker moved to the prison as a means to keep Quinn in check. He spends most of the film in a cell, very much like Hannibal Lecter, until he breaks out in the end,” the website claims.

The website also claims that Lex Luthor is the movie’s villain and the Squad are tasked with stopping a human trafficking gang who are selling a “bio-weapon” to him. The bio-weapon? Enchantress. Rick Flagg, who is now not being played by Tom Hardy, is seen as a hero character overseeing Amanda Waller but is revealed to be a villain at the end as he is in cahoots with Rick Flag Snr.

Another of their sources also claim that Waller is after Batman, but he won’t feature in the movie. They say that the script has had “much praise” from the studio and that, “The Joker has a large part in the movie but doesn’t get involved in any action scene until the very end during the riot where he kills several people.”

Of course, all rumours for now. Take with a pinch of salt, etc.

Suicide Squad is set for release on August 5th 2016 and will feature a cast that includes Will Smith (Hancock) as Deadshot, Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) as Harley Quinn, Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club) as The Joker, Jai Courtney (Terminator: Genisys) as Captain Boomerang and Viola Davis (How to get Away with Murder) as Amanda Waller. Jesse Eisenberg (The Double) is expected to reprise his role as Lex Luthor. You can listen to the Flickering Myth Podcast’s thoughts on the Suicide Squad cast using the player below:
