Well, it looks like they fooled us all. Coming hot on the heels of Ryan Reynolds’ “confirmation” that the Deadpool movie will be PG-13, the Merc with the Mouth has made an appearance on Extra during a video interview between Mario Lopez and Ryan Reynolds, with Wade assaulting “Slater” and confirming that the movie will be rated R!

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, DEADPOOL tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.
Deadpool is set for release on February 12th 2016, with Reynolds reprising the role of Deadpool alongside T.J. Miller (Transformers: Age of Extinction) as Weasel, Morena Baccarin (Gotham) as Copycat, Gina Carano (Fast & Furious 6) as Angel Dust, newcomer Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Ed Skrein (Game of Thrones) in an as-yet-unrevealed role.
