Nicolas Cage and Paul Schrader re-teaming for Dog Eat Dog

May 19, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that director Paul Schrader and his Dying of the Light star Nicolas Cage are re-teaming for gritty crime thriller Dog Eat Dog.

Based on the acclaimed book by Eddie Bunker, Schrader will co-write and direct the film with Cage starring.

The synopsis for the novel reads: “Dog Eat Dog follows Troy Cameron, a reformatory graduate like Bunker. A terrifying and brutal narrative, the novel tracks his lawless spree in the company of two other reform school alumni, Diesel Carson and Mad Dog Cain.”

Meanwhile, Schrader has posted a message on his official Facebook page, stating that – unlike Dying of the Light – he has final cut, and is looking forward to reuniting with Cage:

Dog Eat Dog is set to film soon for a 2016 release.
