Flickering Myth Films

Flickering Myth Films is the production arm of Flickering Myth, one of the UK’s leading independent entertainment platforms. Built on almost two decades of audience engagement in film journalism and criticism, Flickering Myth Films develops and produces commercially focused genre features with a strong emphasis on international market viability.

Our Approach

Led by producer and founder Gary Collinson, Flickering Myth Films adopts an audience-informed development approach, using insights from a global readership of engaged film, television, and entertainment enthusiasts to identify and develop genre projects with clear international commercial potential.

Projects are packaged and produced with a focus on viability across theatrical, streaming, and digital distribution platforms, supported by access to Flickering Myth’s long-established editorial platform and audience reach, enabling integrated editorial coverage, promotional amplification, and genre-targeted media visibility.

Completed Films

Produced in partnership with Shepka Productions, Flickering Myth Films’ debut feature, the gothic horror The Baby in the Basket, secured distribution across 15+ international territories, including streaming and physical media releases in the US and UK, a theatrical release in the Philippines, and multi-region deals across Latin America and the Middle East. The film also received press coverage across genre and mainstream outlets, including Empire, SFX Magazine, and The Guardian.

Our second feature, the suspense thriller Death Among the Pines, continues this strategy of lean, commercially focused genre filmmaking. The film has secured an early US streaming release and received positive initial critical response, with UK distribution confirmed for Q3 2026 alongside a coordinated publicity campaign.

Current Slate

As of June 2026, Flickering Myth Films is currently in production on Robert Returns, a reboot of the cult British horror franchise Robert the Doll, which it is co-producing with Shepka Productions for IMP Studios and 4Digital Media. The latter is handling US and UK distribution and holds worldwide sales rights, with a release planned for 2027.

In addition, we are actively developing a growing slate of genre projects, with a continued focus on scalable, internationally marketable IP.

Collaboration, Partnerships and Investment

Flickering Myth Films selectively develops a limited number of projects with clear international commercial potential. We are open to discussions with:

  • Co-production partners
  • Financing partners
  • Sales agents and distributors

All projects are developed with a view toward global market positioning and structured release strategies, supported by Flickering Myth’s established editorial platform and audience reach, which provides a unique pathway for built-in editorial coverage, promotional visibility, and genre-focused media support.

Unsolicited Submissions

Please note that Flickering Myth Films is unable to accept unsolicited scripts, pitches, or creative materials. Any material submitted without prior agreement will not be reviewed.
