Hugh Jackman would “seriously consider” Bond role

September 6, 2015 by Gary Collinson

Hugh Jackman may be about to hang up his claws as Wolverine with 2017’s third solo X-Men spinoff, but it seems the Australian actor would be tempted to get back in the franchise game again if the opportunity to succeed Daniel Craig as James Bond came his way.

“I sort of have [been asked previously],” Jackman told Australian TV show The Project. “At the time I was just about to do X-Men 2 and I was like, ‘Ah, I don’t think it’s the right time’. But it was not an easy one to give up.  I’d seriously consider it.”

Earlier this week, Daniel Craig hinted that it could be ready to call time on 007 after Spectre, prompting speculation about his eventual replacement, with the likes of Idris Elba, Damian Lewis, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill and Michael Fassbender all high on the bookies list of favourites.
