Miss Colombia winner and almost-Miss Universe Ariadna Gutierrez has joined the cast of the action sequel xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, where she’ll play Vin Diesel’s love interest (assuming she doesn’t find herself replaced by Pia Wurtzbach when she turns up for her first day on set).
Gutierrez, who gained worldwide attention when announced as the winner of Miss Universe in error by host Steve Harvey, will join a cast that includes the returning Samuel L. Jackson, along with new additions Donnie Yen (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Toni Collette (The Sixth Sense), Tony Jaa (Ong-Bak), Deepika Padukone (Cocktail), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Ruby Rose (Orange Is the New Black), Andrey Ivchenko (Freezer) and UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor. It’s also rumoured that Ice Cube will reprise his role from the 2005 sequel xXx: State of the Union.
