Deadpool 2 to feature some obscure characters

March 20, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Deadpool screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are currently navigating the interview circuit for their upcoming project Life (which has recently garnered attention for possibly being a secret Venom prequel, something we did not report on because it’s not true), and naturally, they were asked about Deadpool 2.

Speaking to Latino-Review regarding adding new characters into the sequel, the duo said: “Cable and Domino grabbed the headlines on Deadpool.  But there are definitely some more obscure characters that people know or that real diehards know that will be in there just by virtue of we need a new villain, and we need some new good guys to compliment Deadpool, but it is growing. Of course, it will be all about the lunacy that is Deadpool himself.”

If you know of any obscure Deadpool characters that you would like to see in the sequel, let us know who they are in the comments below…

As yet, Deadpool 2 is without a firm release date, but is expected to hit cinemas at some point in 2018, with production starting this Spring / Summer. John Wick co-director David Leitch takes over from Tim Miller, who left the project due to creative differences.
