Captain Marvel has found its director

April 19, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Originally published April 19, 2017. Updated April 16, 2018.

The hotly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 had its first set of official press screenings on Monday, and some details about other upcoming MCU movies have come to light. At an open house of future Marvel projects we found out what Captain Marvel’s costume will look like, and Ant-Man and the Wasp director Peyton Reed also let some other information slip.

Reed mentioned a director for Captain Marvel was “locked today”, before being quickly quietened.

With that knowledge in mind, it will be interesting to see when Marvel chooses to make an official announcement regarding their chosen director, although news most likely won’t come until after the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
