Marvel’s Kevin Feige thinks Joss Whedon’s Batgirl will be “awesome”

April 18, 2017 by Samuel Brace

President of Marvel Studios, and over all puppet master for the MCU, Kevin Feige, is excited to see what Joss Whedon’s Batgirl film will be like.

With the impending release of the hotly anticipated Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige was speaking to media on Monday night before a screening of the film.

Reported by Variety, Feige made it known that he was aware of what the former Avengers director was doing, moving over to DC to direct Batgirl, and that he was really excited to see the outcome.

“He did call a couple months ago to tell me about it,” Feige said. “He didn’t have to call but I appreciated that he did. I think a Joss Whedon Batgirl would be awesome.”

Now, no one would expect him to say “I hope it stinks and Joss sucks”, but it is nice to see his seemingly genuine happiness about the venture, and that Joss even called to let him know.

Some bad blood was thought to have existed between Whedon and Marvel following Avengers: Age of Ultron, but there doesn’t seem any sign of it here.
