Michelle Williams, Kevin Spacey and Mark Wahlberg wanted for Ridley Scott’s All the Money in the World

April 2, 2017 by Gary Collinson

A couple of weeks ago it was announced that Ridley Scott is set to direct All the Money in the World, a drama based around the real-life kidnapping of John Paul Getty III, and it seems the filmmaker is wasting little time in assembling his cast.

According to Deadline, Michelle Williams, Kevin Spacey and Mark Wahlberg are all in contention for the project, with Williams wanted for the role of Getty’s mother Gail Harris (a part initially linked to Natalie Portman), and Spacey as grandfather and oil tycoon John Paul Getty, who refused to cough up the ransom for his grandson, despite his position as one of the richest men in the world.

All the Money in the World is set to be Scott’s next project, and will begin shooting next month in Italy, so presumably we’ll get official confirmation on casting soon. Meanwhile, Scott’s next film Alien: Covenant opens on May 18th.
