May 25, 2017 by admin

THE LAST JEDI, THE FIRST IMAGES

The title of the movie might be Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but we’ve now got our first official look at the cast via Vanity Fair. Included in the images are our first look at Laura Dern’s Vice Admiral Holdo and Benicio Del Toro’s ‘shady character’, who is apparently unnamed in the film but referred to on set as ‘DJ’, with director Rian Johnson teasing: “You’ll see—there’s a reason why we call him DJ.” There’s also contain some heart-breaking images of Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher, as well as the late Leia Organa posing with her daughter Billy Lourd. Get the tissues ready, and read more here.

TOP GUN 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

News of Top Gun 2 surfaced last year but little had been heard about it since. However while on the press tour for The Mummy, Tom Cruise confirmed, “[Top Gun 2] is definitely happening [and I’m] gonna start filming it  probably in the next year.” Read more here.

THE FLASH RUMOURS

It’s probably fair to say that The Flash has been the most problematic movie in the DC Extended Universe right now. For starters it has lost two directors since its announcement, and secondly it has had a tonne of re-writes. While the re-writes aren’t that uncommon in a big budget movie (Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and The Flintstones both famously had upwards of 10 scripts each), it says a lot when people keep leave the director’s chair. However, a new rumour has surfaced that the script is finished and approved, and titled The Scarlet Speeder. Read more here.

WONDER WOMAN CELEBRATION

Sticking with the DCEU and although there were a lot of worries a few months ago about Wonder Woman, with many complaining about a lack of marketing and promotion, things are really looking up for the Amazon Warrior. Positive reactions from press and fans have been flooding the internet recently, and the film has now topped Fandango’s survey of the most anticipated films of the summer. It’s interesting because the same survey taken last December didn’t even see Wonder Woman crack the Top 10. Read more here.

JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK ISSUES

Talking of directors leaving the DCEU, and it has been reported that Justice League Dark has also lost its second director. Doug Liman – who left Gambit to helm Justice League Dark – has exited the project, but could be replaced quickly by It director Andres Muschietti. Read more here.

DEADPOOL 2 CAST

Deadline have reported that The Strain’s Jack Kesy has been cast as Deadpool 2‘s unknown antagonist, though they  claim to have heard reports that Kesy will portray the X-Men and Deadpool enemy, Black Tom. Read more here.

ARTICLE OF THE DAY
