Marvel’s Spider-Man to take over Disney XD in the UK this July, new animated short released

June 30, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Coinciding with his big screen return in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Marvel and Disney have announced that the wall-crawler will be taking over the Sky and Virgin Disney XD +1 channels this July for an entire month beginning July 3rd.

The content will include the premiere of six Spider-Man Origin shorts leading into the new animated series Marvel’s Spider-Man, as well as a 15-minute Spider-Man: Homecoming movie special and every single episode of Ultimate Spider-Man ever made.

“This is the first time that we have created a takeover dedicated to Spider-Man, arguably one of the most popular characters from the Marvel universe and one of Stan Lee’s most venerated creations,” said David Levine, General Manager of Disney Channels UK and Ireland. “The wall-crawler continues to draw kids to Disney XD so what better way to pay tribute to his genius than by giving him his own channel throughout the month of July when the whole world will be going Spidey crazy.”
