Netflix rules out Sense8 return

June 10, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Last week it was announced that Netflix had cancelled Sense8 after two seasons, prompting fans of the show to launch a petition to save the series. Unfortunately, these efforts have been in vain, as the streaming service has shared a message on the official Tumblr page to announce that the show will definitely not be returning.

“To our Sense8 family… We’ve seen the petitions. We’ve read the messages. We know you want to #RenewSense8, and we wish we could #BringBackSense8 for you. The reason we’ve taken so long to get back to you is because we’ve thought long and hard here at Netflix to try to make it work but unfortunately we can’t. Thank you for watching and hope you’ll stay close to your cluster around the world. #SensatesForever”

Created by Lana and Lily Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski, Sense8 followed eight characters from different parts of the world who experience a violent vision and discover afterwards they’re now mentally and emotionally linked by the experience. The first two seasons and a Christmas special are available to watch on Netflix now.
