Zack Snyder’s Watchmen supercut explores the film’s use of colour

June 20, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Originally published June 20, 2017. Updated April 16, 2018.

Director Zack Snyder is arguably one of the most polarizing filmmakers working today, but one undeniably strong aspect of his work is his color in his visuals.

Snyder has worked with the same cinematographer (Larry Fong) since 300, and the results have been rather impressive. So much so that Legendary decided to release a new featurette looking back on Snyder’s initial foray into superhero world building with his adaptation of Alan Moore’s graphic novel Watchmen. Specifically, the video acknowledges the color palette and splendid visuals.

Take a look at the supercut here and let us know your thoughts on Watchmen in the comments below…

Like most of Snyder’s filmography, Watchmen received a mixed reception, but there is no doubt that the movie has aesthetics going for it. Snyder’s next superhero offering Justice League is set for release this November.
