July 18, 2017 by Luke Owen

HAN SOLO PHOTO

He’s only been director for a few weeks, but Ron Howard has already shared a behind-the-scenes photo from the untitled Han Solo movie, featuring everyone’s favourite Wookie Chewbacacca. Check it out here.

LIGHT POSTER

It will debut on Netflix in August and premiere at FrightFest the night before, and yesterday we got a brand new character poster for Nat Wolff’s Light from Death Note. Check it out here.

OG VULTURE

Spider-Man: Homecoming has had a lot of praise from fans and critics, especially for Michael Keaton’s Vulture. In a brand new interview with Yahoo, screenwriters Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley revealed their version of the character in their original draft. “He was still stealing from Damage Control, but we had a different way into it,” Daley said, stating he was initially a science teacher at Peter’s school. “No, let’s separate him fully from the school — or at least so it seems.’ And that’s I think when we decided to make [SPOILERS].” Read more here.

CHAINSAW MASSACRE

There was a time when it felt like this film wasn’t going to happen, but a red band trailer was released yesterday for Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel Leatherface, which you can check out here.

THE LAST JEDI, THE LAST MOVIE

Rian Johnson spoke with Good Morning America yesterday following the Star Wars: The Last Jedi sizzle reel from D23, and was asked about the role of Carrie Fisher in the movie. “Carrie gives a really beautiful performance in the film,£ he said. “We obviously didn’t make the movie to be her final Star Wars movie. Given that though, I think there are scenes that she has that are going to mean a lot to people and there are scenes that we have with her where now not having her around I watch them and I think I’m really thankful that we have that and we can give that to people.” Read the rest of the interview here.

DEADPOOL 2 HYPE

Also on Good Morning America, Josh Brolin was asked about his role in the upcoming Deadpool 2 which is currently in production. “There’s a lot of stuff going on in Deadpool that’s very surprising and that will be very satisfying when you see it,” said Brolin. “To me it’s even funnier than the first one … I read it and I laughed harder than I’ve laughed in a very long time, so it’s funny.” Read more here.
