Brenton Thwaites cast as Dick Grayson in live-action Teen Titans series

August 31, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Brenton Thwaites has been cast as Dick Grayson, a.k.a. Robin, the Boy Wonder, in DC’s upcoming live-action Teen Titans series Titans.

“Dick Grayson is one of the most important and iconic heroes in the DC Universe, and it wasn’t easy to find him but we have. Brenton has the emotional depth, heart, danger and physical presence of Batman’s former protege and the Titans’ future leader,” said DC’s Geoff Johns (via THR). “We’re extremely lucky he’s chosen to bring his talents to this project and this character.”

Thwaites is the third addition to the cast of the series after Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) as Raven and Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Starfire.

Titans sees Dick Grayson emerging from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless group of young superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. It is set to premiere on the new DC digital platform in 2018.
