John Goodman’s Dan Conner confirmed alive in Roseanne revival, Johnny Galecki in talks to return

August 7, 2017 by Robert Kojder

Although John Goodman was part of the initial casting announcement for the Roseanne TV series revival, it remained uncertain as to what capacity he would feature, due to the fact that during the ninth and final season the show took some bizarre creative directions, including killing off loving husband Dan Conner.

Well, at the Television Critics Association, ABC has confirmed that one of the storylines being reversed in the ninth season is Dan’s heart attack and subsequent death, with ABC’s Channing Dungey stating that while the finale will not be ignored, “I can confirm that Dan is still alive”.

Meanwhile, it has also been announced that The Big Bang Theory star Johnny Galecki is in talks to reprise his role as David, where he’d join the returning Goodman, Roseanne Barr, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, Michael Fishman and Alicia Goranson.

Roseanne is slated to premiere in midseason, with filming due to begin in October. Let us know in the comments below if you’re excited about its return…
