Tom Clancy’s The Division free update 1.8 announced

August 31, 2017 by Andrew Newton

Ubisoft have announced that the free 1.8 Update ‘Resistance’ for Tom Clancy’s The Division will be coming to PC and consoles this autumn.  This is the largest free update for the game so far and will bring two new game modes and a brand new area to fight over.  To see more about this upcoming update watch the trailer below…

The new area coming with this update is the West Side Pier which is spread across two new zones and is ready for all players to experience.  At this new area all the defeated factions have joined forces and have started working together so it is up to The Division to investigate and find out why this place is so important to them.

The new West Side Pier area will also be the home for the two new game modes introduced in the 1.8 update; these are Resistance PvE mode – teams of up to 4 agents see how long they can survive against wave upon wave of enemies spawn, and Resistance PvP mode that sees two teams of four players compete to gain the most kills in an allotted time.

The Resistance update will also bring improvements to the Underground DLC, a revamp of the rogue mechanics and will allow players to improve the stats of their favourite equipment.

Look out for the free 1.8 ‘Resistance’ Update coming this autumn.
