Marvel’s latest TV venture Inhumans has certainly had a tough time of things; the first promotional images and trailer were savaged by fans, and the two-part premiere episode – which screened in IMAX theaters earlier this month – met with a similar fate from critics and audiences.
The show – which has reportedly been a source of contention between ABC and Marvel – is gearing up for its network premiere a week from today, and a new promotional poster has arrived online which bills the superhero drama as ‘The Complete Series’, prompting speculation that the show has already been cancelled. However, a spokesperson from ABC has contacted RenewCancelTV to state that “this is not a new poster [and] the same promotional verbiage [has been used] throughout our campaign.”
It would certainly seem a little early for a decision to have been made on the future of Inhumans; despite all of the negative buzz, there’s still the possibility that the show could prove to be a ratings hit, so this may well not be the last we see of Black Bolt and company.
