Meet the Hell Pit Abomination coming to Total War: Warhammer II

September 3, 2017 by Andrew Newton

The latest video for Total War: Warhammer II released by Creative Assembly introduces the terrifying creation that is the Hell Pit Abomination.  Created by Clan Moulder, these creatures form a formidable force on the battlefield.  Meet this abomination to nature in the new trailer below…

Deep beneath the Warhammer world, in the darkest of crevices live pale wyrms that go about their business quite peacefully until the warped scientists of the Skaven Clan Moulder get their hands on one.  These creatures are subjected to the most vile of experimentation performed by the clan’s scientists and are mutated with warpstone light and grafts.  These mutations cause extreme pain which drive the poor creature to madness making it a force to be reckoned with in battle.

Long rumoured as myths and urban legends, the Skaven are a race of rat men who harbour an intense dislike for every other race die as they scurry beneath the cities of man skulking in shadows.  Although the Skaven do not have the weapon skills of the Elven races or the strength and tenacity of the Lizardmen they make up in sheer numbers and pure hatred.  The source of the Skaven’s power is the mysterious Wyrdstone and their sinister weaponry and mutated monsters are the results of their experiments with this poisonous mineral.

Total War: Warhammer II will be released on PC on the 28th September.
