Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam may debut in Suicide Squad 2

November 8, 2017 by Samuel Brace

The DC character Black Adam might well make his debut in Suicide Squad 2.

The Shazam villain has been cast with Dwayne Johnson in the role, though it is said that he won’t appear in Shazam’s own solo movie.

The Wrap, however, is reporting that the current plan is for the character to make an appearance in the sequel to Suicide Squad.

The Wrap reports: “The current plan for the sequel is for the members of Suicide Squad to be tasked with tracking down a weapon of mass destruction. That weapon? Black Adam himself. The villain is best known in DC Comics as the main nemesis of superhero Shazam.”

Dwayne Johnson has hinted himself of exciting news to come, telling Fandango back in May: “We have a really cool surprise for Black Adam that I can’t reveal, in terms of where we will see Black Adam being introduced.”

So these reports do seem to mesh together, but we will just have to wait and see if this really is where audiences will get their first big screen glimpse of the character.
