Teen Titans TV series will reportedly include The Flying Graysons

November 2, 2017 by Jordan Jones

As the death of Thomas and Martha Wayne led to the creation of Batman, the death of Dick Grayson’s family led the orphan into the care of Bruce Wayne, where he eventually became Robin. The two character’s are linked by their loss, and their desire for justice. With that said, to tell any story featuring Dick Grayson, and not mention The Flying Grayson’s, would be doing the character a disservice. Which is why it’s a relief that the upcoming Teen Titans live-action TV series will reportedly feature the acrobatic family.

As reported by Omega Underground, an audition tape for the Teen Titans show, made by actor Tim Campbell, has been circulating online. The tape has the actor reading for the character “Ben Crossland”. Now, early character descriptions for the live-action Teen Titans series had Dick Grayson listed under the name “John Crossland”, so it stands to reason that this character will end up being Dick Grayson’s father; furthermore, the script actually has the character address his son “John”. The dialogue also depicts the family as a group of singers, and refers to superstitions before making a “big entrance”.

It seems like we are going to get plenty of insight into the Grayson family, which bodes well for the series in general. Going by this news, it seems that the Teen Titans series will have a good focus on character, and not simply action.
