Rumoured Titans casting breakdowns point to Arsenal, Elasti-Girl and more

November 1, 2017 by Gary Collinson

With filming on DC’s live-action Teen Titans series Titans set to get underway this November, That Hashtag Show has shared some alleged casting breakdowns for supporting characters said to be appearing in the show, which point to a few familiar faces from the DC comic book universe.

[DANIEL CROSS] Male, 17-19, Caucasian. Athletic, street smart, cocky, yet charming. His life is changed forever when he crosses a crime fighter and is given a new outlet for his rebellious ways. RECURRING GUEST STAR.

[JENNIFER ANDREWS] Female, 20s/30s, Caucasian. Small town, Midwestern girl gone to Hollywood, Jennifer is a star on the rise. She comes across a doe-eyed, All-American and naive in her approach to her art, and life. Jennifer emulates the classic girl-next-door actors from the 1940’s and 50’s. A bit Stepford-y in her thinking and appearance, Jennifer feels like a woman out of time. RECURRING GUEST STAR.

[CAROLINE] Female, 40s, Caucasian. Forever sleepless with worry, she’s the mother to a young, troubled teen. Seeking a recognizable cameo face or name. GUEST STAR.

[THE MESSENGER] Male, 50s-60s, Open ethnicity. Outwardly a warm and kind presence, he doesn’t seem the type to be powerful or malicious. But he has the ability to turn on a dime and be the most terrifying man you have ever met. Seeking offer only names/recognizable faces…RECURRING GUEST STAR.

The above names are placeholders, but speculation is pointing towards Daniel being Roy Harper/Arsenal, Jennifer being Rita Farr/Elasti-Girl, Caroline being Raven’s mother Arella, and the Messenger as Brother Blood. This is of course just rumour for now, but we’ll hopefully get some official information soon.

Titans will follow Dick Grayson as he emerges from Batman’s shadow to become the leader of a fearless band of young, soon-to-be superheroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales star Brenton Thwaites leads the cast as Dick Grayson, alongside Teagan Croft (The Osiris Child) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Starfire, Ryan Potter (Big Hero 6) as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson (Smallville) as Hawk, Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Dove and Lindsey Gort (Lucifer) as Detective Amy Rohrbach.
