Vin Diesel named highest-grossing actor of 2017

With 2017 drawing to a close, Forbes has published its list of the top ten highest-grossing Hollywood stars of the year, with Vin Diesel nudging out his Fast & Furious co-star Dwayne Johnson to lead the way with $1.6 billion at the worldwide box office thanks to Fast & Furious 7 and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

The top five is rounded out by three female stars in Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman, Justice League), Emma Watson (Beauty and the Beast) and Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Murder on the Orient Express). Check out the full top ten here…

1. Vin Diesel – $1.6 billion
2. Dwayne Johsnon – $1.5 billion
3. Gal Gadot – $1.4 billion
4. Emma Watson – $1.3 billion
5. Daisy Ridley – $1.27 billion
6. Johnny Depp – $1.1 billion
7. John Boyega – $953 million
8. Tom Holland – $888 million
9. Chris Pratt – $864 million
10. Chris Hemsworth – $845 million

Last year’s list was led by Scarlett Johansson, who will no doubt feature highly in 2018 along with numerous other Marvel stars thanks to the release of Avengers: Infinity War.
