New trailer for Paterno starring Al Pacino as the disgraced football coach

HBO has released a new trailer for Barry Levinson’s upcoming drama Paterno along with a premiere date announcement of April 7th. The film stars Al Pacino as disgraced Penn State football coach Joe Paterno alongside Annie Parisse, Riley Keough, Kathy Baker, and Greg Grunberg; watch it below…

After becoming the winningest coach in college football history, Paterno’s legacy is challenged and he is forced to face questions of institutional failure. Academy Award® and Emmy® Award winner Al Pacino returns to HBO in the title role, as Penn State’s Joe Paterno in the aftermath of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal.

Paterno is set to arrive on HBO on April 7th.
