Spyro Remastered Trilogy title, release date, and screenshots leaked

April 5, 2018 by Emma Withington

Mexican Amazon has leaked dragon eggs all over the place – slating the highly anticipated remaster as the ‘Spyro: Reignited Trilogy’ and is allegedly set for release this September 21st with box art to boot (images have since been pulled from the page, but have resurfaced on Amazon India with Xbox One box art and no release date):

Listed as 735.70 pesos, this sets Spyro: Reignited Trilogy at roughly £29 ($40) and is said to include Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Alongside this IGN recently received a purple (presumably, dragon) egg with the description ‘Something’s about to hatch – Falcon McBob’, which has set the speculation gears grinding as to whether or not we should expect an official Spyro announcement very soon…

While this particular purple egg isn’t necessarily a feature from the Spyro Trilogy, standard in-game collectable dragon eggs aside, Falcon McBob is the name of the unverified @SpyroTheDragon account on Twitter – which is interestingly followed by the official @CrashBandicoot account. Falcon McBob’s only viewable tweet is from yesterday and is fuelling the fire even more – It seems that Crash Bandicoot might have been the first to get a hands-on preview, thanks to rumoured developers Toys For Bob (responsible for handling the N. Sane Trilogy‘s Nintendo Switch port) perhaps? We look forward to hearing his thoughts…

Wait, there’s more?! – Yes indeedy, a whole batch of leaked Screenshots have made their way to the internet and have been scavenged by numerous Egg Thieves for your pleasure! If these are to be believed, the Spyro remaster is looking to be a beautifully rendered visual feast and we can’t wait to see more!
