Evangeline Lilly comments on her interest in a Lost reboot

July 4, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Evangeline Lilly has revealed whether or not she should have any interest in returning for a Lost reboot.

Lost was one of the biggest shows in TV history, a truly cultural event that gripped fans across the world. The show, which began in 2004, lost some appeal as seasons went by but it’s still looked upon fondly in many circles and noted for its colossal impact.

Evangeline Lilly, who is to co-star with Paul Rudd in Ant-Man and the Wasp, was once a major part of Lost’s cast and played the fan favourite character, Kate. But how does Lilly feel about possibly returning to the show that made her name?

In an interview with EW, she didn’t seem too keen on the idea, saying that she’s not a big fan of reboots and remakes: “There’s a rumor every year that they are going to reboot Lost. The thing about reboots and remakes is that I don’t like them in general, period. I want people to leave Star Wars alone! I did love Rogue One, as an aside. But for the most part, I don’t usually love them. I feel like it’s just tainting something that’s precious. I’ve said I don’t want to do things in the past and I’ve done them – you know, never say never – but sitting where I am today, my assumption is no.”

Like Lilly said, never say never, but it certainly seems that this is one cast member that would rather look to the future than attempt to relive old glories. What do you think? Should Lost come back in some form?
