Naked Sun launches on Steam for Oculus and HTC

July 18, 2018 by Andrew Newton

UK based developer Door Z have announced the release of their VR title Naked Sun on to Steam for Oculus and HTC headsets.  This post apocalyptic title will see humanity pushed to the brink of extinction in a war against machines.  To see more of the gameplay check out the trailer below…

In Naked Sun humanity has been pushed to the brink of extinction thanks to a long lasting war with the machines we created.  A handful of survivors hidden in the Deadlands tenaciously fight back and decide to take the global capital of Mexico City away from the mechanic menace.

The game will feature:

  • Enjoy a 180-degree field of action – perfect for devices without room-scale tracking.
  • Experience intense action without a hint of motion sickness.
  • Immerse yourself in a detailed, high-speed world.
  • Go tactical with destructible in-game objects.
  • Take in the sights with a stunning, constantly changing environment.

“After working on several concepts for Naked Sun, we realized that forward movement really makes VR ‘pop’ – especially when moving at high speeds or transitioning between environments on a platform. We’re thrilled to have solved the motion sickness problem with Naked Sun – and we couldn’t be more proud of the finished product. VR first-person shooter fans are in for a treat!” – Maksim Burdilov (CEO, Door Z Studio).

Naked Sun is available now on Steam.
