Jon Hamm would like to play Batman if the script is right

September 13, 2018 by Samuel Brace

Jon Hamm, the former star of Mad Men, has revealed that he would be up for playing Batman in the future but only if the script is right.

The future of Batman as a character on the big screen is unclear, at least when it comes to who might be playing him. We know that Matt Reeves’ The Batman is in development but is Ben Affleck returning to the role? It’s all very nebulous.

As a result, there are lots of rumours flying about regarding who could play Batman next and now one actor rumoured for the part has actually come out and said he would be up for it. Jon Hamm told THR in a recent interview:

“It depends on the script, what the story is. I am a huge comic book fan, always have been. I have read comic books since I was nine or younger. And I am pretty knowledgeable about a lot of them. And I like the genre, and I like when they are done well… I’d probably fit the suit. I’d have to work out a lot, which I don’t love. But, I am sure there is an interesting version of that being out there. And if they wanted to tap me on the shoulder and ask me to do it: why not?”

There you have it, give this man a solid script and there’s a good chance he could be a future Batman. What do you guys think? Would Jon Hamm make a good Batman?
