Professor X and Magneto enjoy a game of chess in latest X-Men: Dark Phoenix set photo

With X-Men: Dark Phoenix currently in the middle of reshoots (and rumours swirling that the first trailer could be on its way soon), a new set photo from what is expected to be the final instalment on Fox’s main X-Men series has surfaced online, which shows long-time friends/foes Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr (Michael Fassbender) pitting their wits against each other once again with a game of chess. X-Men: Dark Phoenix sees Simon Kinberg directing a cast that includes franchise veterans Michael Fassbender (Magneto), James McAvoy (Professor X), Jennifer Lawrence (Mystique), Nicholas Hoult (Beast), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Evan Peters (Quicksilver) alongside new additions Jessica Chastain (Molly’s Game) and Lamar Johnson (Kings). It is set for release on February 14th 2019.
