Roblox joins forces with Warner Bros. to bring a special Aquaman themed event to the game

With the release of the upcoming Aquaman movie just round the corner, Roblox have joined forces with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring an exclusive Aquaman event to players.  The Aquaman: Home is Calling event will take players on a quest through the underwater realm of Atlantis to help Aquaman find the Lost Trident of Atlan and reclaim his throne.  A new trailer for this event starring Jason Momoa (Aquaman) and Amber Heard (Mera) can be watched below…

Aquaman: Home is Calling will put players in the Roblox role of Aquaman, and using his superpowers of strength, swimming ability and control over sea life set out to find the Lost Trident of Atlan and reclaim the Atlantean throne from his half brother, King Orm.  Should Aquaman fail then a terrible war will devastate both the surface world and the oceans.

Players will progress through three areas of Atlantis, completing missions and earning new customisations, however, the combined effort of the whole Roblox community will be required to unlock certain chambers, complete trials and earn exclusive digital rewards.

Pictures again to spark the imagination of millions of players as they collaboratively explore this new underwater world on the Roblox platform ahead of the movie’s release this December.”

Pictures. “Following the success we had working with Roblox this year to immerse their users in the ‘80s nostalgia of the Oasis in Ready Player One and a mysterious and haunting 1920s Paris in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, we couldn’t be more thrilled for audiences and Roblox players to experience the epic world of Atlantis in Aquaman.”

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman”, starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime — one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be … a king.”

Aquaman is directed by James Wan (The Conjuring) and stars Jason Momoa as the titular hero, reprising his role from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, along with Amber Heard as Mera, Patrick Wilson as Ocean Master, Willem Dafoe as Dr. Vulko, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry, Ludi Lin as Murk, Michael Beach as Jesse Kane, Djimon Hounsou as the Fisherman King, Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin, Otis Dhanji as a young Arthur Curry, Julie Andrews as Karathen and Graham McTavish in an as-yet-unrevealed role. It is set for release on December 14th in the UK and December 21st in North America.
