Netflix’s Locke & Key casts its Locke siblings

December 22, 2018 by Gary Collinson

Earlier this year, Hulu passed on its planned Locke & Key TV series, only for rival streamer Netflix to swoop in with a series order for the adaptation of the Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez comic book.

It was revealed at the time that Netflix planned to revamp the original pilot, recasting all of the actors save for It star Jackson Robert Scott (Bode Locke), and now comes word that Connor Jessup (American Crime) and Emilia Jones (Incident in a Ghostland) have been cast in the retooled series as fellow Locke children Tyler and Kinsey.

Locke & Key is a horror-fantasy series which revolves around three siblings who move with their mother to their ancestral home in Maine following the gruesome murder of their father, and soon discover that the house has magical keys that give them a vast array of powers and abilities. However, little do they know, a devious demon also wants the keys, and will stop at nothing to attain them.

The 10-episode series is set to shoot in 2019, and sees Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Mereditch Averill (The Haunting of Hill House) serving as showrunners.
