According to THR, filming is now underway on a feature film version of the Funny or Die online talk show Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis, which is being produced for Netflix.
The site reports that the film is being directed by Scott Aukerman, who co-created the show with Galfianakis, and will retain the same format, with The Hangover star portraying himself as an inappropriate host of a low-budget talk show.
Although details are scarce, the movie will apparently feature an all-star line-up of guest appearances, including Galifianakis’ Hangover co-stars Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms as well as Peter Dinklage, David Letterman and Keanu Reeves.
Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis launched online in 2008 and consists of 21 episodes in total and featuring a host of celebrity guests including President Barack Obama and then presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, with the latter racking up 30 million views in just 24 ours.
