According to Vice director Adam McKay, he has spoken with Marvel about potentially directing a Silver Surfer film.
Although it’s not a done deal yet, it seems like the Fox Marvel characters are headed to the MCU and this means that Adam McKay (The Big Short) could potentially make that Silver Surfer film he has been wanting.
When asked this month if he had heard from McKay about the subject, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige sad no but now McKay himself has revealed that he has indeed spoken to Marvel. In an interview with MTV, the director said:
“There actually has been some discussion about Silver Surfer. My agent certainly woke up. They were excited. We’re in the middle of, you know, backing Vice right now, but, who knows, maybe in a couple months it could pop up. I really am excited about that idea. So, we’ll see what happens.”
Whatever the details are about who has spoken to whom, it does seem like an Adam McKay-directed Silver Surfer movie could be on the cards if things fall into place. Is this something you would like to see? Let us know in the comments below…
