Xbox Games with Gold revealed for February 2019

January 29, 2019 by Andrew Newton

February’s Games with Gold have been announced and it’s a bit of a mixed bag of goodies.  Once again there is an original Xbox title included rather than two 360 games so if you an original Xbox owner and want to take a trip down memory lane then this month is for you.  As usual, this coming months free games are presented by Major Nelson in the latest video.

For Xbox One players, February kicks off with 2D action game Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon.  In this 8-bit style action game players take control of Zangetsu, a demon slayer, and set out to destroy a powerful demon hiding in its castle.  On his way he will be joined by other characters that can be switched between to give different advantages in their quest.

From 16th February to 15th March is Super Bomberman R.  Players can work their way through a story mode with over 50 stages solo or in co-op and there’s also the eight player competitive multiplayer mode that fans of the franchise love so much.

Xbox 360 players (and Xbox One players through backwards compatible) will be able to play Ubisoft’s 2014 Assassin’s Creed Rogue.  Rogue will continue the centuries long battle between the Assassins and the Templars and like Assassin’s Creed Black Flag will see players take part in both land based and naval combat.

Finally, for the latter half of February is the original Xbox title, Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, this game puts players in the shoes of a Force user and give them the opportunity to use a wide range of force powers and weapons, including blasters and lightsabers.
