Earlier this month, Jared Leto announced that filming was underway on Morbius, the Living Vampire, Sony Pictures’ second Spider-Man spinoff movie, and now a spy photo from the UK set of the movie has arrived online which gives us our first look at Leto in the title role as Dr. Michael Morbius. Morbius, the Living Vampire is being directed by Daniel Espinosa (Safe House) and will see Leto portraying Morbius, a a biochemist who becomes inflicted with a form of vampirism after attempting to cure himself of a rare blood disease.
While Sony is yet to make an official announcement on the cast, Leto will be joined in the film by Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim Uprising) as Martine Bancroft, Matt Smith (Doctor Who) as Loxias Crown, Jared Harris (The Terror) as Morbius’ mentor, and Tyrese Gibson (Fast & Furious) as an FBI agent.
