Kathleen Kennedy teases future adventures for Star Wars Sequel Trilogy characters

April 18, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Kathleen Kennedy, the president of Lucasfilm, has teased that the adventures of Star Wars sequel trilogy characters could continue in some form.

We all know by now that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will be the end of the long running Skywalker saga, totalling in nine films across the decades. While this will bring the main story to a close, that doesn’t mean some of the newly introduced sequel trilogy characters won’t be seen again.

According to Lucasfilm president, Kathleen Kennedy, in a recent interview with MTV, some of these characters could return in future adventures: “You know, there is an appropriate time. We’re using this appropriate time as an opportunity to see where we’re going now that we’re leaving the Skywalker Saga behind. But there’s no question that there’s certain characters that we’ve created certainly in the last three movies that we may very well wanna see down the line in the future.”

We don’t know in what form this would take, of course, there are numerous options from movies to Disney+ TV shows, as well as comics, books, and audio dramas. We will have to wait and see what the future holds.
