Spider-Man: Far From Home is the end of Phase Three, reveals Marvel’s Kevin Feige

April 22, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Although Avengers: Endgame is being marketed as the conclusion of ‘The Infinity Saga’ – the first epic story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe – it seems it’s not going to be the end of Phase Three of the MCU.

Speaking at the Seoul Fan Event for Endgame, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has confirmed that Phase Three will conclude with July’s Spider-Man: Far From Home – the movie previously earmarked as the start of Phase Four.

Feige has previously suggested that Far From Home will explore how the events of Infinity War and Endgame are going to affect Peter Parker as he returns to high school, so it sounds like the Homecoming sequel is going to act as an epilogue of sorts to ‘The Infinity Saga’.

As for Phase Four, all we really know so far is that Black Widow, The Eternals and Shang-Chi are in development alongside Doctor Strange 2, Black Panther 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Presumably we’ll get some kind of official announcement this summer once Endgame and Far From Home are out of the way…

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released on July 2nd and features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Michael Keaton (The Vulture), Zendaya (Michelle), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Angourie Rice (Betty Brant), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), with Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) as Mysterio and J.B. Smoove (Uncle Drew), Remy Hii (Crazy Rich Asians) and Numan Acar (Homeland) in undisclosed roles.
