Jon Favreau discusses how Happy’s relationship with Peter has evolved in Spider-Man: Far From Home

July 5, 2019 by Samuel Brace

Jon Favreau, one of the stars of Spider-Man: Far From Home, has discussed Happy’s relationship with Peter and how it has progressed.

One consistent problem with Spider-Man being such a young hero is his immaturity and this is something numerous characters in the MCU have had to deal with so far. Jon Favreau’s Happy Hogan is one of these people.

Speaking to Variety, Favreau discussed his role as an actor in the film and how the dynamic between Peter and Happy has progressed: “In the beginning, I was kind of annoyed by him and I was a babysitter assigned to look after him in the background of what was happening in Civil War, but now after Infinity War and Endgame all the characters have been through a lot emotionally. I like what this relationship has evolved to, and, of course, working with an actor like Tom Holland with scenes that are both funny and emotional is great because I don’t get to act like this that often.”

Peter Parker returns in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the next chapter of the Spider-Man: Homecoming series! Our friendly neighborhood Super Hero decides to join his best friends Ned, MJ, and the rest of the gang on a European vacation. However, Peter’s plan to leave super heroics behind for a few weeks are quickly scrapped when he begrudgingly agrees to help Nick Fury uncover the mystery of several elemental creature attacks, creating havoc across the continent!

Spider-Man: Far From Home features the return of Tom Holland (Spider-Man), Marisa Tomei (Aunt May), Zendaya (Michelle), Jacob Batalon (Ned Leeds), Angourie Rice (Betty Brant), Tony Revolori (Flash Thompson), Martin Star (Mr. Harrington), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), with Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler) as Mysterio.
