Original Michael Myers actor confirms return for Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends

July 27, 2019 by Gary Collinson

During last week’s San Diego Comic-Con International, it was announced that Universal Pictures and Blumhouse Productions will be bringing to an end the saga of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode with not one but two sequels to last year’s hit Halloween relaunch.

The original announcement for 2020’s Halloween Kills and 2021’s Halloween Ends confirmed the return of writer-director David Gordon Green, co-writer Danny McBride, producer Jason Blum, executive producer John Carpenter and leading lady Jamie Lee Curtis, and now original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle has revealed that he’ll also be back, once again sharing duties as The Shape with his successor James Jude Courtney.

I'll be returning but, you know Big Game James still got the torch! More later. https://t.co/uEQAzqOouz

Castle made his return to the franchise some 40 years after the original movie with the 2018 sequel, portraying The Shape in a single scene (the first time his character is spotted by Curtis’ Laurie, where he is seen through an upstairs window), as well as supplying all of the character’s ADR breathing. Presumably it’ll be a similar scenario on the next two films.

Halloween Kills is set for release in October 2020, with Halloween Ends arriving in October 2021.
