July 1, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Originally published July 1, 2019. Updated July 25, 2019.

As it did with Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Vanity Fair has posted an in-depth article on December’s Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which includes a host of images from celebrated photographer Annie Liebovitz.

Among the images are new shots of Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) engaged in battle, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and R2-D2, Poe (Oscar Isaac), Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), BB-8 and Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams), Zorri Bliss (Keri Russell), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson) and Allegiant General Pryde (Richard E. Grant), C-3PO (Anthony Daniels), Jannah (Naomi Ackie) and Finn (John Boyega), and the Knights of Ren.

Check out the images via Twitter, along with a behind-the-scenes featurette…
